Your heroism and service is honored today, the 54th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. You will always be honored and revered.
Rest In Peace

I WAS WORKING A PATROL CAR IN THE FIFTH PRECINCT WHEN OFFICER COULTER GOT SHOT IN THE NEXT PRECINCT OVER. A DESCRIPTION CAME OUT OVER THE AIR OF A MAN WITH A LONG GRAY OVERCOAT, AND POSSIBLY CARRYING A SHOTGUN ABOUT THIS TIME I OBSERVED A MAN IN A LONG OVERCOAT, WHO FIT THE DESCRIPTION. HE WENT INTO A SMOKE SHOP. WE FOLLOWED HIM INTO THE SHOP, WHICH WAS CROWDED. I OBSERVED A BULGE UNDER HIS COAT, AND PATTED HIM DOWN. I FOUND A LARGE BUNDLE OF NUMBERS GAMBLING SLIPS. ALL HE WANTED TO KNOW WAS WHO TIPPED US OFF. HE HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH OFFICER COULTER'S SHOOTING, BUT WE HAD A ARREST. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE, AND KNOW THAT YOU WILL ALWAYS BE REMEMBERED. REST IN PEACE BROTHER.

My father, Arthur LaVigne, served on the Detroit P.D. from 1954-1960 so he may have known you. He then went on to retire from the Flint P.D. in 1987. May God bless your family and may you rest in peace.
