Never got to meet you grandpa, wish I could have as from everything I have heard you were an amazing man. Also a humble and wonderful example of what a Christian can be. I don't understand why there is no record of your badge number? Thanks for being a hero, see you someday in heaven.

Time may have passed but you are not forgotten. I believe as long as someone remembers you or speaks your name, you are still with us.
Thank you for your heroism.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 83rd anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Sergeant Cornwall - "Seconds and inches," the chances we take in performing our duties often often boil down to mere seconds and inches as to whether we'll succeed, or fail, and face injury or death. I regret your loss. May you rest in peace, Sarge, and be prepared to lead the new kids through the grounds when we arrive for our first roll-call.
