Reflections for Police Officer William Coleman Cook

Reprieves cannot be given to those who violently look to uproot the peaceful pursuits of society. Villains cannot be just given a hall pass for their senseless and cowardly actions. Great and heroically humble women and men like yourself, Officer Cook, stayed on course and tracked terror and evil with unrelenting tenacity and the dignity that integrity surely respects. Your character and commitment. Officer Cook, was what Dade County and its citizens needed to continue prospering and yet your smile and engaging personality has certainly be very much missed all these decades later. We salute your loyalty, faithfulness and esteem. Sanctity placed civility back on the streets where tranquility belongs instead of mayhem and bedlam. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero.

Liberty City and its residents have a lot to live by. To carry on your legacy of exemplary service, Officer Cook, for most would be near impossible. A stoic and great man whose career and life reflected the times and struggles of Dade County during your watch. But, you have been remembered and saluted for everything from honor to humility, courage and class, decency and dignity's own special integrity. A well lived life cut way too short by a person of violence an imposter who was cruel and callous allowing himself to try and get the best of a well organized and run establishment. Your accomplishments were and always are heroic and with principles that good scruples define. That fine line was crossed and sadly heaven has your adoring soul of passion and persistence, Officer Cook, watching over our joys, freedoms and togetherness. Only loyal , faithful and treasured beyond dedication . Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero.
