Indecision can only interfere with the constructive efforts to maintain dignity, peace and integrity within the framework of humanity. A humble and honest man, yourself, Officer Cook, devoted full attention to the duties that lied ahead. When peril and danger struck Dade County you responded swiftly to try and nip that evil that threatened our unity and tranquility. Where you forever rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero, Our Lord knows where your resolve and reverence can now have that affect while you patrol those sacred and golden gates of valor. A legend of a man who deliberate leadership and motivation has been etched upon those walls of remembrance never to be forgotten,

People are curious by nature. Wickedness spreads its flames of ferocity so fast it's sometimes impossible to reach them and extinguish the damage left behind. Disputes just sit and smolder while brave and honorable men and women figure out plans of attack. One swift motion going forward at time scan do the job. Four brave men that day trying to get a man to surrender and his revenge and rage just placed Dade County and its resourceful citizens under fire. Your heroic actions, Officer Cook, dignified and humble prevented more chaos and for that we salute you. God blesses your soul of security and rewards his righteous flock of tenacity. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero.

When the chandeliers start shaking, one had better be ready for something to occur. Violence shakes, pounds and taunts us at our sleeves and so finely tuned men and women race and rush to action. One block away yet you and your last partner, Reserve Officer Scott Lincoln , Officer Cook, were not dispatched, required to attend to that which became a fateful domestic scene where your life and career of honor, integrity and character were rudely taken away from your family and brave peers of trust and heroism. Bargains and deals are not always the best plans of action to attack the cores of callousness. A job well done, Officer Cook. Police work requires an entire field of ferocity and the tenacious honesty that brings the levels of dignity and integrity to the top. Dade County received A plus service from a very devoted and most versatile man. Too young to have departed this world because of unnerving violence. Mr. Pearsall's proclivity should have been in making his community better rather than worse. Your heroism and resolve fighting long and hard through difficult moments made that distinct difference. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero of character.

Relationships and friendships share a common bond. That thread of hope, peace and decency that must be alike in every way, shape and form. You had lots of friends, Officer Cook, loads of peers from all over who attended your Inspector's Funeral on May 19, 1979 at St. Mary's Cathedral to pay respects to you and your beloved family. You death leave an indelible impression on society and the sting somehow decades later can still be felt. Pulsing right through the bodies of your loved ones while they pursue and carry on with your smile and purposes and happiness of life. A career marked by respectful resolve, honorable intentions and dignified pathways by which integrity may flow. Never forgotten, a hero and a gentleman whose youth was never lost. That spirit was immediately uplifted to heaven where your dad, Mr. Charles Cook, may he too rest in peace along now with his beloved Julia. Your reverent and humbly pious mother, Mrs. Cook. Your mother carried on her stoic life without her darling and heroic son for nearly forty years without seeing your radiant face ever again all because of a mad man lacking character, morals and some semblance of faith. Three Cooks are solemnly remembered by their daughter and your big sister, Nancy. Mountains of pictures, millions of memories warm, poignant and sad. Life does move forward as you rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero. Heaven and Our King have your brave and loving heart seated next that throne of sanctity and harmony forevermore. Karen, your beloved widow who remarried ten years ago has those keepsakes of your solid constitution and consideration for all humanity. Mankind rests at night and still keeps your fervent hopes and aspirations alive and overflowing with joy and gusto. Your life just should not have ended that way even though you were performing your official duties to protect.

A quiet and unassuming character that was all due diligence and virtuous vigilance. Panels get put up to protect during storms. Too bad those side panels were not around during your day, Officer Cook, as they are now because of your sacrifice. Dade County's legion of heroes and heroines all branded with bravery and honor, integrity and dignity's characters. You rescued, resolved and were most efficient during tense times. All the accolades and homage should be afforded you my neighbor, friend and hero, whose unwavering ferocity helped lead the troops of respect while you persevered.
