Violence is like a guillotine about to fall. And when it hits there is no telling what might occur. Your humane gallantry, Officer Cook, surely staved off more adversity for Dade County on May 16, 1979 than ever. A resourceful young man, a public servant who took his position most seriously. Honor, dignity and integrity are agents in the fields of ferocity not to be ignored nor disrespected. Your days, months and years were all important and heroically notable in this monsterous effort to get wickedness under control. I read where your former boss Chief Dale Bowlin passed. He left a very humble reflection regarding your outstanding character and commitment protecting the citizens and your comrades. You are one angel to be sincerely cherished and greatly admired.
