You were one of them, Officer Cook, the fraternity of sisters and brothers, brave, honest, decent and mostly refined citizens themselves. All anyone asks if for a little respect, common sense and the pursuits of both integrity and character all having dignity's versions of virtue and loyalty. A difficult and perilous job and yet through God's eyes and ears He heard you and because of unwavering heroism, honor and integrity He allowed you the opportunity to protect the citizens of Dade County for six years of sweat and toil through the trials of turmoil, torment and terror. May 16,1979 stands out as that awfully tragic day when your soul of respect and intuition was called home.
