Destiny and hope share bonds. God is the Judge, King and Savior where in His sacred of spots rests desire, drive and dedicated decency. All virtues that must be honed, preached and practiced on a daily basis to reach fruition. You shared the rigors of policing Dade County with so many other men and women, Officer Cook and they have never forgotten your happiness, a heart of gold, sacred dignity and instrumental integrity all brought about by revered character. So young and determined, why is the big question did Our Creator need you at such a young age? Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero.

Today, Officer Cook, Dade North Memorial Park where you rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero will be welcoming another brave young man to heaven where I'm certain you'll show him everything his heart and soul must know. Those gates of valor are surely filled with honesty, integrity and dignity all utilized to quash the wanton violence that still permeates within humanity. Officer Aubrey Johnson was twenty-eight and hurt his ankle chasing a robbery suspect and unfortunately developed a blood clot and lost his life. A gentleman of truth and trust, you'll be his companion , Officer Cook, for eternity. We won't forget May 16, 1979.

We age and hopefully gracefully as well. You should have been allowed to age this way too, Officer Cook. Too many changes and a loss to your family and department that Dade County will never forget. Your family had a gaping hole implanted in their hearts and souls because of one evil man. Such a man does not belong among humanity. Never again my neighbor, friend and hero will pain and harm come your direction. Integrity and dignity all humbly honored by such a warm, devout and instrumentally concerned human being.
