Reflections for Police Officer William Coleman Cook
So impacted and so meaningful, officers sometimes work beyond their scheduled shifts. But, never without a purpose in mind, Officer Cook and that was to create the bonds of loyalty and respect among your colleagues. Your family misses you very much and so do your peers of the past. To them you'll always be a hero and to the folks of Dade County who were treated accordingly with proper honor, dignity and reverent integrity. It should always counteract violence and evil. A sacrifice so virtuous and a man whose legacy stands tall and humbly sacred. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero.

Freedom is located in a servant's searches for truth and justice. The trust of Dade County was shattered, Officer Cook, that very sad day your life of humility, honesty and integral dignity was taken so heinously. You'll never be forgotten for esteemed bravery and countless heart and courage during stressful times. Our serenity and unity all came about from your unselfish missions and journeys of humane heroic leadership. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero.

What is lost usually cannot be found. Whenever the life of any police is taken senselessly a sense of passion and purpose seems gone forever. You cannot bring back a life and yet a soul of honor, a heart of integrity, dignity and character never is lost in the sense that Our Master has yours, Officer Cook, safely tucked away in eternity where it rests in peace my neighbor, friend and hero. Dade County and humanity had their peace and happiness elevated to another sphere by your unselfishly heroic actions. You were not required to answer that call, yet, your trust and truth proved beyond any doubt the type of man and servant whose intuition and ingenuity fully comprehended the purposes in mind. Rest in peace.

No one takes to violence and any wickedness. Communities are hopeful goodwill, peace and reliability will face whatever obstacles impede the progress of unity. You were for everything good and humane on behalf of Dade County residents, Officer Cook. A hero so trusted, so loyal and so esteemed. It's truly tragic that your life of piousness and stellar integrity, sterling honor and respect and enhancing dignity were uprooted by one evil apple. One man looking for violence without any morals, mettle or principles. He got his punishments and you, Officer Cook, have been bestowed as a warrior and a hero of affection forevermore. Your family and comrades can at least take comfort in knowing you did all you could to pursue the causes and passions of peace and perseverance. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero. A life make no mistake that was heavenly and adored by humanity. Missed deeply and forever saluted for vigilance , diligence and duly worthy ethical conduct above and beyond the scopes of sacrifice. A life genuinely concerned with mankind and how to plausibly further the sustenance of all.

A bushel of boldness and bravery is certainly preferable than a basket of evil flying around a community making chaos and bedlam more concerning. Surely, your mind, body and total being, Officer Cook, were concerned with solving and resolving any conflicts, problems, issues and circumstances that cropped up during patrols and journeys throughout Dade County just searching for unity and liberty for all society. A sacred foundation blessed and rewarded with cornerstones of kindness, dignity for all and integrity making maturity more trusted and authentic. So true and so humbly truthful. God surely should have allowed you my neighbor, friend and hero to live out your life and retirement should have been granted to a special human being gifted by humility and virtue. Rest in peace.

A vest can block a shot and preserve a life. The shot that took you from your family, Officer Cook, missed your vest by a quarter of an inch, maybe an inch. So small yet so devastating to your family, department and peers of honor, dignity, wisdom and inspirational integrity. Twenty-five years of life, of giving and of being cherished and most notably heroic. Dade Count has made newer inroads as the struggles for tranquility continue but not without addressing your being and heart of truth, Officer Cook. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero.
