One sudden fit of rage and in less than ten minutes three officers are lying on the hot pavement and one tragically died giving his life and career up for his community of Dade County. A turn of events, Officer Cook, where things sadly went so wrong and it did not have to happen. Forever was your mortal honor, integrity and dignity uprooted from your family, colleagues and friends. Your family asks why? Your department asks why? A healthy young man in the youth of his life,so full of game and passion ready to patrol and exhibit all the happiness and joy of life. Learning a lesson can be exceedingly difficult and sometimes painful at best. Life sometimes throws us a curve ball and we must respond positive and affirmatively. Four and a half decades later police are stilling preaching,reviewing and practicing all they were taught pulling those chains of courage fiercely and most relentlessly.
