Reflections for Police Officer William Coleman Cook

Young, bold and with a mighty brave heart. Such a decent man who deserved more years to live on fulfilling your earthly missions. Now all your journeys, Officer Cook, on behalf of Dade County residents have been taken on a new trip, eternity is where heroes are angels who soar as mighty humble warriors. Certainly is that. Justice was served as Mr.Pearsall was killed by your esteemed comrade, Detective Donald Blocker. You'll be forever missed, yet always in your family's hearts and lives. A sweet soul with a concerning spirit never to be forgotten and surely never overlooked. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero.

Succinct, sweet, sincere and serene the way everybody would like it. Society should not have to bend over and bow to evil and corruption. Crime takes more than a slice out of our very lives. Pragmatism should never indulge itself more than it may have to. You were an optimist, Officer Cook, self-confident in your abilities and versatility to complete your given roles and tasks to benefit the lives of all Dade County. God gives us one heart, one brain, two lungs, eyes and ears, legs as well for a practical reason, truth and trust must avail and not be interrupted. When decent people are hurt or lose their lives the plans and preparations must be reevaluated. Your death hurt your family, colleagues everyone concerned, I personally don't take kind to police being hurt or God forbid taken from their loved ones. As you know my father may he rest in peace served thirty-eight years with the New York City Police Department. Badge#1541 gave his all, badge#1664 yours, Officer Cook, gave a total effort and well beyond to be remembered and fondly to forever shared.

Dade County works and toils, sweats and prays that courage and loyalty such as yours, Officer Cook, makes a distinctly harmonious impression. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero. Foundations and bridges to a solid future one better off with your smiling face and humility attached to each door here in your community that loved and admired your endeavors greatly. They'll carry on with their journeys and missions it's what God wants of them, he expects them to relish and to revere your blessed and most rewarded good name.

But than again trust, truth, honesty, dignity, integrity and revered character made you humbly treasured not only as a Dade County policeman but as a human being so thoughtful and deserving of whatever accolades and salutes travel your direction. You led others because of your honest heart, wisdom and soul of impression. A path you began forty-three years ago serving Dade County, Officer Cook, so heroically, admirably and with total honesty now sadly memories of a legend, Badge#1664 with all its eyes and ears guiding your community through some adverse times. Always so loyal and faithful, your parents raised you and your sister, Nancy very well completely respectful, dignified and most of all integrity, fortitude and character that gave clear and precise commitments to morals, mettle and the packages of sacred perseverance and an always ready attitude to succeed in any endeavor. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero. Your love of life and the outdoors, Officer Cook, we can only say heaven and earth have and had your undivided attention to details never derailed by anything until that day, so heinous and vile what transpired in only a few moments while performing your duties. Your heart and soul, Officer Cook, so decent and kind, humble, honest and heroic surely deserved more. More life and to be able to finish your public service career on your own terms. Some jobs, one's health may hinder them. Police work its evil and violence not only can permanently injure them, its evil can rob them, their families and comrades of their inspiring wisdom and clear vision. Dade County saw six years of excellence, dedication, dignity and integrity such a wonderful gentleman of character commanding others through fate and destiny. Always warmly treasured and well liked, God you've received a fine young man with a fighting spirit into your eternal home for you to cradle and protect him. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero. A life so sacred and serenely solemn gone in a flash, just tragic, terrible and traumatic, but, you were there until the end sacrificing for your friends and the citizens to live on, you do live in their hearts and prayers, Officer Cook, you forevermore do.

Those who perpetrate torment and turmoil are more than ever scatterbrained and without any clue or notion of what mankind expects from ordinary people. Hard working, honest and with a semblance of truth and trust in their pockets. Persistence usually pays dividends to those who faithfulness never leads them astray. You surely were a God fearing man, Officer Cook and complete with a reserve of energy and effort in your tanks where dignity, integrity and honesty helped you to overcome peril. Still will forever be tragic and sadly shameful that one ignorant and obviously deranged human being can take a man 's heart and soul from him robbing him and his beloved family from the pleasures of seeing you, Officer Cook, growing older gracefully with his beloved Karen. So astute, humble and divinely humane now all of those traits are in heaven encircling us as a golden and heroic angel. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero. Dade County was primarily served by unselfish, unceasing, undying and unrelenting resolve, resiliency and the pursuits of peace, harmony and togetherness for all humanity. So solid, so solemn and so very sacred!
