Reflections for Police Officer William Coleman Cook

Anarchy throws chaos, bedlam and mayhem into the very hearts of all residents desiring peace and safety. Like a fire breathing dragon, violence snorts and just races through society creating calamity at every stop. No corner or street is safe until those hoses of heroism, honor and humility come by to douse the fires of ferocity out. Suffice it to say you were the consummate officer, gifted, talented and skilled with so much blessing and reverence, Officer Cook and this is exactly why your character preserved, protected and provided the clearer picture of why wisdom, vision and maturity are all too important during pursuits of harmony and everything else. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero. Dade County forever solemnly pays homage to a blessed and admired hero of humanity.

Trying and testing, God's infinite grace perpetually shines down upon His world and those who look to rightfully uplift its reasons and purposes. Our Lord gave you to your parents and department, Officer Cook, for twenty-five all too brief years of life and six of those serving Dade County and its citizens. Hope among dignity. Integrity resting upon the sheets of valor and honesty now sheltered forever with your unassuming character, a constant reminder of the dangers that follow any servant through their daily journeys of esteem and faithfulness to be gloriously saluted. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero.

Most of the faces of our beloved fallen heroes and heroines you'll notice a lot of smiling faces but, yet, their loved ones can't smile only frown at their losses while doing their jobs freely, passionately and of course willingly. A purpose in life to search for truth and tranquility and to save esteem and loyalty for just the right opportunity just as you seized the moment, Officer Cook, trying to restore calm and order to a most prideful community, Dade County where your charisma and smile meant all business. Those branches of boldness and bravery were humility and sacred missions stored by the reservoirs of dignity, integrity and clear vision. Always missed and greatly respected and solemnly admired. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero.

Rain is good for our land as it makes crops better served to be nurtured and consumed. It also cools off a hot day. Perhaps that awfully sad day, Officer Cook, when you gave your life and humble career for Dade County to be served with just morals and principles maybe some moisture might have stopped that evil man in his tracks of torment and terror while you were just trying to have him stop and surrender before things escalated. Humanity rewards its righteous men and women, dignity, integrity and surely with humanely heroic honesty and resolve. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero. You are an angel, Officer Cook, forever eternally robed in God's merciful courts of courage where no one gets harmed or hurt anymore. Just so tragic a young life, two lives forever lost because of callous and heinous wickedness.

Too bad the man who took your life, Mr. Pearsall had smoke in his eyes to commit bodily harm to you, Officer Cook and to nearly take your comrades' lives as well. His passions should have been on how he could mend fences and the relationship with his wife or girlfriend especially if they had a child together. For any child not to see its parent as it grows up is tragic enough. You yielded excellence in your performance and with unselfish integrity, dignity and honor you'll be forevermore saluted for character and visions of wisdom, truth and trust. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero.
