Reflections for Police Officer William Coleman Cook
I think Officer Cook the phrase should have read that the man who decided to commit heinous, callous and wanton actions against you, your colleagues and Dade County got his ultimate punishment by being killed by one of your own in the end as your friend Detective Donald Blocker finally ended a day of calamity killing him and ending a terrible episode of fear he generated. You brought joy, happiness and all the trails of trust , honor and dignity to your beloved family and treasured department. The hope has been forever imprinted and instilled within all of our hearts and minds. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero.

Composure, calmness and coolness literally under the gun of a hot tempered man only shows your true grit and fighting gumption, Officer Cook. A Dade County hero devoted to the causes of peace and a constructive stability. All the capability to inform and interject your natural abilities into the fracas that forms when evil and wickedness strikes back. Such fierceness and faithfulness that relied upon the very sources of your ingenuity, intuitive integrity and unrelenting dignity and heroic honor. All to be humanely and solemnly saluted for such valor, validated and expressive. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero. Colleagues have always paid homage to a gentleman and friend who went the extra mile to shield, preserve and rescue us from such atrocities. You are reaping what you sewed while the man who took you from this world got his punishment from those fellow officers who engaged him in such wanton, callous and most heinous actions that denigrated society while you, Officer Cook, made mankind feel warm and welcoming. God bless you and your family. And may your two beloved parents, Mr.and Mrs. Cook, rest in peace cradled in Our maker's arms with their beloved and darling son while heroic actions never will be forgotten. Only saluted and humbly honored.

A heavenly balance is struck between Our Lord and His servants, loving and honest individuals who have risked their lives to preserve the tranquility of a community. Your place, your location, your venue, Officer Cook, where your heroic actions helped to ward off and save your fellow officers and the citizens whom you loyally protected. Just a tragedy, a crying shame and such blatant disrespect for a young man with a child himself to display and to demonstrate such arrogance against police who were just trying to calm him down and get him to surrender peacefully. Dade County and the area where you gave your life, Liberty City, have undergone great changes surely we hope for the enhancement of humanity's future. One brighter if you were present to witness it, Officer Cook. Heaven has an even greater angel, sacred and purposeful. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero.
