Reflections for Police Officer William Coleman Cook

Bold and humble. Beloved and humbly admired. Respected and reverent in wisdom, vision and maturity. You were such a driving force here in Dade County, Officer Cook. A man of many characteristics. Honest. Loyal and dependable. Fair yet firm. Possessed dignity and integrity that engaged, enriched and endeared itself to the entire community where you defended, battled and fought against the very wickedness that stole your life and career. Took a bright and beautiful heart and soul away from your loved ones to now forever treasure the memories. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero.

Evil poses its adversarial problems that can complicate the completion of the job at hand to expel its violence from our society. Dade County was under your honorable and heroic direction, Officer Cook, always a man of polish and poise, promise and perseverance, firm and never yielding one iota. If dignity and integrity, character and commitment were to be rudely interrupted then humanity would certainly struggle to obtain its rightful and trusted existence. You did everything you could that sad day, Officer Cook, God's compassion transported your heart and soul of humility and esteem to His branches in heaven to continue your eternal tasks. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero.

Most men and women serve righteously some others, a few stray from the path and must be removed from their posts and taken away from the very streets they preserve. Integrity, dignity and honesty must be properly aligned and installed. Nothing left half undone. The jobs must be completed properly as you demonstrated so skillfully and heroically on behalf of Dade County and society in general, Officer Cook. God has enhanced your wings of praise and blessed your acumen and astuteness that you'll always be eternally rewarded for tireless effort and unselfish sacrifice in the line of obligation. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero. In a previous reflection I apologize as I was never comparing you or any diligent public servant to a monkey. The way some police act an animal would be inclined to behave better and that is surely sad terribly tragic as ruination would run rampant. Cannot have that occur ever. The streets deserve respectful representation forevermore. Keep watching your family and the entire world from the best seat above. No obstructed views.
