You pour effort into coaxing a man to surrender before hell breaks loose. You gave Mr. Pearsall every chance to give up and turn himself in and he was more than stubborn. He was vicious and heinous and everything he represented that tragic day, Officer Cook as he took your life and nearly ended those of your colleagues. Dade County honors you and others from Dade County who made the ultimate sacrifice to ensure a measure of serenity and accountability. Such tireless integrity,dignity and most blessed character helped to defeat the likes of violence other times. God just needed your soul and spirit in heaven more to perform greater and more essential humbling roles in His gardens of peace. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero. So proud of you and your life and career you chose out of freewill.
