Never one to take a bow and just so humble, loyal and cherished, your public service life and career, Officer Cook, was the makings of an honorable life and by all accounts one that was surely headed for more accomplishment. I know you worked for six years, but, dignity,integrity and character were always there and things were just on the cusp of further accentuation. Evil, violence and a man bent on taking the lives of those whom we adore and hold so dearly close to our hearts, well the feelings are there and you, Officer Cook, your heart, soul and sacred humbleness will forever be safe guarded by God as an angel of valor rests in peace my neighbor, friend and hero. Today is my sixty-second birthday a happy day yet somber because my parents are no longer here to see me as my sister and I grow older. Nancy, your big sister shares those feelings of her darling heroic brother always honored, saluted and given whatever a hero deserves who served his community, department and nation. For sacrifice and resolve may you be eternally blessed and heavenly rewarded. Just too soon as your life ended because of one man's heinous desires to commit terror against society and its humane establishment.

All your life and all during your career serving, Officer Cook, priority number one was the safety of both you and the public at large. So you were determined to set your sights upon rescuing society's burdens from their shoulders and placing them on yours. Integrity, ingenuity and dignity all battling adversity with every trusted and true resource at their disposal. Just wished you had not had your desire, integrity and dignity robbed from your heart by a scoundrel of an individual. No manners, class, no honesty nothing suggesting anything decent and good. Challenges should make us uniquely better as people and how a man could live with three generations of relatives and still lack anything civil is anyone's guess. At least everything humble, civil and scrupled was implanted into your beings both you and Nancy to further journeys where cause and purpose were duly maintained.
