Reflections for Police Officer William Coleman Cook
The yokes of truth, trust and justice are validated by the concepts all well rounded and supported by integrity, dignity and honesty character of articulation, accentuation and illustration. The matters at hand were certainly handed by your undying efficiency, effort and energy all within your golden heart and humbly heroic soul, Officer Cook. You made Dade County a safer haven to live and to achieve. To embellish success means to live at times with failure taking a small step back to push ahead by fifty of them. That fateful day when you gave your life and career for responsibility, accountability and versatility your entire virtue and vision were there with wisdom gently embracing them as partners. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero. Badge#1664 was instrumentally and fundamentally sound. It was broadly respected and solemnly admired for its acts of loyalty and esteem.

Life just seems to be passing us by. While you rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero, Officer Cook, we the people cannot ever thank you enough for your outstanding work ethics, discipline and codes of highly regarded conduct all central to your job and its many faceted roles. Dade County was delivered its harmony by virtue of your honor, valor and total understanding of what it requires to be ever so dignified, have integrity and to face adversity in an unselfish manner while exposing yourself to wickedness. Never again, but then you'll always be a hero to all who looked up to you. God blesses, judges and rewards His flock of heroes and heroines and you, Officer Cook, are one of His many humane and diligent angels. Dignity drives those composed. Evil permeates in those who are inclined to spill mayhem, bedlam and chaos upon our sacred streets, corners and roads.

A puzzle may take years to solve,so it's decades later, Officer Cook and it's still difficult to comprehend why you were taken with much left behind to still accomplish at a relatively young and tender age. The building rather the hospital where you began your career, Officer Cook, is still there. The testimony of your fortitude, courage and tenacity accelerated itself in the classroom and the fields where you practiced what you were taught and instructed to do. If only Mr. Pearsall obeyed your commands to surrender you might be alive and well today living a healthy and tranquil retirement with your beloved Karen. Time and God's will they know. Your destinies took you to Dade County where you planned and prepared for a long career that should not be ended by violence robbing your loved ones of your decency, dedication and tireless determination to rid your community of evil. A proud man of character, commitment and the trust all found within your persevering good nature, honest, integral and most passionately dignified. This is what integrity and diligence enhance and enrich when they are straight from the heart and soul of a courageous man. Gone too soon but saluted and fondly remembered for solemn endeavor. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero.

You yourself control your state of mind and emotions. Yet, the stress, rigors and duress of a professional occupation geared toward protecting and observing does have its pitfalls and moments of quiet.
