Goofing off is not gallantry. Its gall if one does that on the taxpayer's expense. You never did that, Officer Cook and I'm certain you would have scolded any comrade that displayed that terrible lapse in judgment. Dade County as any venue cannot ever afford to have slackers in its department while serious issues and circumstances called for more drastic measures. You gave your heart and soul unselfishly so that we could thrive and enjoy our pursuits and their purposes in life. a real savior, truth and trustworthiness attached to your wisdom and acumen. Documented, dignified and full of reassuring humility and integrity. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero.

You beautified the very space you walked, Officer Cook. Just by being humble, authentic and honorable. Having class, dignity and integrity only strengthened your name as Our Maker has perpetually watched over your heroic heart, soul and spirit of courage, charm and charisma. The careful planning, the thoughtful preparations all leading to a career so full of joy, pride and promise. Then one hot day six years into your tour of tenacity over Dade County, some heinously confused and wicked man took your life from your family, friends and esteemed colleagues. Never forgotten and always saluted for trusted and truthful character, commitment to excellence and outstanding convictions that have benefited society. A blessed man with a treasured and heroic name. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero.
