I saw something on the facebook of the Officer's Down Page yesterday, Officer Cook and I thought it said your mother Mrs. Julia Cook bought you your bulletproof vest. You surely had two wonderful and beloved parents and one great big adored sister in Nancy. Plus a loving wife in Karen. Your niece, two nephews and great nieces and nephew surely have missed you greatly growing without your handsome smiling face hugging and loving them all. Such fortitude, perseverance and dedication will never be overlooked for what you meant to Dade County its people and your department. We'll honor and salute bravery, dignity, humility of heart and soul, character, commitment all true and trusted, faithfully respectful and blessed forever in the skies above. I know that Officer Keith Di Genova is alive today as was Officer Robert Edgerton and your last partner, Reserve Officer Scott Lincoln because of you, Officer Cook or as you were called Bill Cook. Your maturity and wisdom, vision like an eagle saved many lives that tragic afternoon of May 16,1979. One small Chevrolet Nova, a small street and giant chaos caused by Mr.Pearsall but you'll always be hero to everyone including my humbly blessed family and yours too should be blessed as they continue your heroic legacy going forward with their life pursuits.
