Your colleagues that very last watch you worked, Officer Cook, still think of you. Their memories are never clouded though your friend and comrade, Officer Keith DiGenova still deals with an array of physical and psychological issues having nearly been killed by the evil man who took your young life robbing your family and Karen of many more years of retirement and happy occasions. To channel your honesty, integrity and dignity into the fortitude that created a lasting bond here in Dade County, well you are forever their hero. The bold and brave risking life to properly put a sealant upon serious trouble. You performed in an outstanding fashion and deserve humble salutes and homage given to a special and wonderful human being. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero. Officer Edgerton, you should live and enjoy your retirement as your comrade, Officer Cook, is never forgotten. I went yesterday to his grave to visit and to pray for him on what would have been his 68th birthday. A somber and poignant moment.
