Meant to say your ascension, Officer Cook, may very well have happened if a violent young man did not take you so soon while defending the rights and civility of Dade County residents. A very loyal and humble hero whose dignity, integrity and honor were utilized day after day to protect us and you'll be saluted and solemnly paid homage for a job well done. Missions of true trust and faith bearing unwavering and unselfish results. Yesterday, Officer Cook, I met a gentleman named Irving Heller and for forty-five years he was employed with the Metro-Dade Police Department. He worked his way up the ranks and was the director at some point in his long public service career. You ascension may very well have happened if not for being taken by violence at the evil hands of a wayward man. Dade County was served by a loyal and esteemed man of integrity, honesty, dignity and character all the articles of faithfulness, resourcefulness and trusted and true allegiance. You will always be remembered and saluted for versatility, vision and virtue which surrounded your unselfish heart and soul at every moment. Now and forever your family's beloved guardian angel whose legacy shines as bright as the nighttime stars may you rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero. Paths and trails created by a man blessed with proper values, morals and ideals. He was the highest Jewish officer in your department and his son, Randy worked there as well rising through thr ranks.
