Reflections for Police Officer William Coleman Cook

I get choked up thinking about you when I speak with Officer DiGenova. He too like Officer Edgerton and yourself of course were great men. Heroes who survived barelyon a day never to be forgotten. The wisdom of Dade County is to pay honor and homage to valor, virtue and humility. Humanity, your family and colleagues have all missed you very much, Officer Cook. Gone too soon and taken away, robbed of your rights to live and to thrive in health, peace and prosperity. Badge#1664 will represent awareness, acumen, accountability all accentuated within your beloved and devoted neighborhood. The sacred paths and trails of justice, truth and trust must be resources to be shared and duly given their loyal salutes for your career and life meant everything to your loved ones who have missed your sweet smile all these decades later. Years and time rolls on the marching never halts its perpetual motion. The strength of your heart and soul so treasured as they fortified and embellished as they fortified society's reasons for existence and the pursuits that God has allowed us to see. They should been for you too to witness Our Master had other plans for such a hero of responsibility and resolve. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero.

We shall remember them and never forget the dignity, class and integral character they left on the streets and sidewalks when crossing over into eternity, joining the sacred ranks above where they can keep their spirits attuned to our very lives. The legacies they are left to uphold by the virtues and versatility their beloved angels left for them to accomplish. Dade County, Officer Cook, was your home and most humane abode where you learned your kindness, manners and overall decency. A loyal and a most faithful servant who now walks his perfect beat with Our Lord observing you. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero.
