Officer Cook, today as you continue to rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero it will humbly be about your blessed, admired and most cherished name that protected Dade County and its residents like a hawk. The continuity of courage, a heart that fulfilled and served its earthly missions of dignity, integrity and character that was universally revered. Never a better young man who did everything right and never gave your parents one iota of trouble, a big sister in Nancy who adored you, loved you and misses your smile and heart everyday. Karen your widow who remarried thirty years after you sacrificed your life, always a loyal and beloved husband who gave her his tender loving soul every second of your marriage. A gentleman who was unselfish and who uplifted, embraced, enriched and engaged mankind with your virtue, wisdom and maturity. Forevermore an angel of valor always saluted and always remembered fondly. To think come 2025, Officer Cook you and Karen would have celebrated fifty years of happy bliss it's sad to think evil, violence and a most destructive individual took all that away for what? He got his punishment as Detective Donald Blocker killed him before another innocent and precious life would be gone all too soon.
