Not good is not acceptable. Courageous, bold and honorable is what we expect from all dignified and decent men and women who fight evil on our behalf. You faced many adversaries, Officer Cook, during your watch, but, none was more aggressive than the angry young man you and your colleagues faced on May 16, 1979. All your family, friends and comrades can say is what a hero, what a devoted and cherished man of mercy, compassion and unwavering integrity who served and protected Dade County and its citizens like you did for six years of remarkable service. A smile and an engaging personality along with well founded character. It makes one's life and career more humble and its humility one that has the cornerstones of charisma.
