Preserving and prolonging life is the goal and objective of every sworn public servant. Here in Dade County you brought relief and peace to all citizens, Officer Cook. The kind of honorable man, a gentleman of character, dignity, integrity and endearment who enhanced humanity with your humble and humane ingenuity. It does not take a rocket scientist to figure out why you were gifted and personable. All your journeys, those missions full of meaning and fruition were your destinies directed by Our Creator and you were one of His most loyal and dedicated angles of mercy providing quality and accountable service never to be forgotten. Hailed as a hero, rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero.

Any public servant who fights with all their might does it right. Integrity, dignity and honesty fortify a man's pursuits of happiness and freedom. Your visions in life and while performing a noble and yet demanding job where danger lurks, Officer Cook, was to crown civility upon mankind. To bestow kindness and yet to be tenacious in all your undertakings, it speaks volumes of your composure, humbleness and character. Without pride and commitment you might as well be lost in a sea of evil. This violence was your job, Officer cook and Dade County was left better off by your loving concern. A sacrifice too soon as you left your family and comrades before you had the chance to say a more fitting goodbye. Those salutes of courage and valor came at your Inspector's Funeral where thousands paid homage to your unselfish humility. It enhanced humanity to the zenith and by your unwavering sense of faith and devotion. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero. To put things in their proper perspective, Officer Cook, you got the perseverance placed where it belonged and never wasted a moment making us safer and more at peace.

You performed your professional roles on behalf of Dade County with care and affection for all citizens. If character, commitment and loyalty are not enough, then maybe one should endeavor elsewhere. A genuine man of integrity and humility giving violence all it can handle and keeping us safe and sound. Never forgotten. People get into jams. How do they exit from them? Stay the courses of honesty and integrity while exhibiting dignity in all your driven desires and passions. You were a passionate man, Officer Cook, so taking that next step of sanctity and civility was a natural progression for you. Dade County was part of those humble cornerstones by while the building blocks were arranged. The sequence by which you did things in your life and during your police career was outstanding and of the highest caliber of respect and admiration for a very important role. Violence and its wickedness can deplete the most wisest and most skillful of public servants. Yet, you stood in there face to face, Officer Cook, giving humanity your heart and soul in leadership. intelligence and most importantly the morals and fiber of character. God only knows and we still inquire why? Why at twenty-five were you taken with more destiny and missions to fruitfully fulfill. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero.

A good memory is like a fine wine. Age preserves its taste and as one matures and gains more experience their minds tend to serve them better. And of course honesty, integrity and dignity helps any police officer an din particular a veteran such as yourself, Officer Cook. It delivers ferocity and fruition to the forefront while driving your service and protection of all Dade County and its residents only one way and that was straight down the paths of righteousness and proficiency. A man or woman of bravery lacks nothing and is supposed to serve with humble distinction and character. A wonderful gentleman and a handsome young man who was destined to fulfill Our Creator's plans. It's not that simple to restore peace, prosperity and security when one fights off the evil and its arms of acrimony. Harmony and tranquility from the character of a diligent and dignified servant. The integrity was always present, Officer Cook and so were you in Liberty City on that fateful day of May 16, 1979, when you gave your life to save your colleagues and the people you took an affirmation to protect and preserve. Dade County and its residents were properly and adequately served by you, Officer Cook. An officer and a gentleman of gallantry and grace. You were this prototypical officer, Officer Cook, who knew exactly how to accomplish the task properly and swiftly.
