The only trails and paths to those traits are to lead a healthy and stellar life of honesty, integrity and dignity which you exemplified, Officer Cook,the total package of a completely noble Dade County hero. You led by example and took direction by listening, learning and by possessing a yearning to become the best. You were the finest out there on the streets providing the assurances of accentuating positive results. Virtue, vision and visibility all unquestioned and all spot on. God took an angel back to heaven to watch His gates of bravery while He cradles your soul and spirit in His arms. That fateful afternoon Dade County, your colleagues and family most unfortunately witnessed one man's violence take your precious and solemn life, Officer Cook and nearly those of your comrades all fighting and battling against one man without honor,class and heart. Because of what he commiteed he had to be killed by your colleague, Detective Don Blocker. When one disobeys orders of police to surrender the choices become few. You paid the dearest price, a man steeped in respect, heart and integrity, their dignity, virtue and truth never lost, never derailed, never more intense and always so brave and loyal. You blazed a trail of truth for other brave women and men to follow in. This is your legacy. A foundation of principles, scruples and values so rich and refined. A vivid reminder of what lies ahead.
