Reflections for Police Officer William Coleman Cook

We, the citizens must buy into the framework of fairness, firmness and ferocity that all dignified and loyal public servants must always exemplify while patrolling for our peace of mind and safety. Their humane and humble honesty rests upon the onuses that each must take upon themselves. You took your roles, assignments and dangerous and often diabolically arduous tasks seriously, Officer Cook. You emancipated us from the chains of violence skillfully, bravely and many times diplomatically. Your life of crime fighting was what you set your sights of keen vision, wisdom and understanding upon keeping us secure in Dade County. when the will of the residents communicates, police must listen and answer their cries for help. Character and morals saw fit to that. Never forgotten and always solemnly honored for piety and loyalty to all your comrades. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero. Enticing and endearing we shall pay homage to your fruitful spirit and its destinies in life. Those sacred missions of mercy and goodwill that represented humanity's values and their passions to pursuing happiness and its decency.

We leave our marks upon our society through our noble and humble pursuits in life. Police leave their trails of tenacity and for their honesty and bravery may we salute them all. Your combined integrity, intensity and dignity, Officer Cook, were left as the blueprints for other brave public servants to follow in. Valor alone cannot out do wickedness. It must be stamped out by a combined force of ferocity, humility and the will to keep battling. Dade County viewed your character, heart and vision as the traits that would tear in this overwhelming adversary and hopefully take its wind away. You were loyal and faithful, dedicated and motivated to patrol, protect and preserve as any individual would do. Your affirmation as to this stands firmly as your heroic legacy, Officer Cook, a humble foundation built on boldness, awareness and the sanctity which makes life matter. Yours did and for the gentleman who served with distinction, may you rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero.

I meant to say for justice never injustice, I by accident ran the two words together. Gallantry, guts and glory, police as all public servants must have and share together the responsibilities of fighting off evil and violence as one department, not going off and acting as one. Honorable and dignified intentions are the keys to successful resolutions. Here in Dade County, Officer Cook, it was your humble and humane esteem coupled with outstanding reverence and integrity for your professional position. Comrades have saluted your vigilance, wisdom and upstanding character with commitment and courage above and beyond. Peace at times comes with price, a life and a career bound for more achievements. God recognized greatness, yours, Officer Cook and took your journeys to a higher sphere where eternity was waiting with open arms to welcome you to those angelic heroes and heroines serving to protect God's golden and sacred streets. The pathways of perseverance you feverishly toiled for are now where no more harm will ever come your way again. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero. You had more humility than most of us walking around and thinking what's next? Ingenuity. Intellect. Intuition inspired your navigation of happiness in our continuations of life and what we choose to become. It's a tragedy you could not be here to witness all, though your soul observes our going and coming.

The beast in this monster we brand us evil, its violence must be headed off at the pass. It must not be permitted to permeate the walls of silence and of peace. For its ugliness casts a shadow of doom and gloom for those choosing to pursue a happy life where prosperity can bring unity. Officer Cook, Dade County and its fine residents were in your capable hands of humanity, its vigilance, honesty and dignity helped pull you and your colleagues through the rough and dangerous moments. Never forgotten for your stellar morals and for outstanding character, rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero of enhancement, the life blood to our future generations to come. Cornerstones have been set down by a faithful and determined public servant who believed strongly injustice and fairness for all. Humbleness and bravery shall triumph over brazen and barbaric acts of terror. You kept calm and our peace, Officer Cook, for this and your life of admiration and reverence we pay homage to your memory.

Police are not supposed to stray nor run from evil. Citizens participate in the peace process as they too can be the eyes and ears of justice done fairly. You went out on patrol of Dade County and its folks, Officer Cook, looking for justice and reason. Sometimes that logic escapes the most trained public servant. You protected with a passionate desire and the will to succeed driven by dignity, integrity and the honor humbly bestowed within you. You gave humanity that ride on the wings of wonderful engagement and the humility by which character and conviction has got to represent those who you served and your colleagues whom you were loyal to. Never selfish. No wavering. Only unselfish, morally correct and a man of principles that assisted with your journeys and missions of mercy, faith and goodwill. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero. What was concluded here shall rise again on those angelic wings of courage which have been humbly placed upon your soul, Officer Cook. Might and its humane courage speak more eloquently than spiteful and one who incites trouble.
