You were very faithful and loyal, so common sense steered your every mission of hope. Those angelic hero's wings you wear forever, Officer Cook, as you patrol Our Maker's heavenly venues keep you soaring humbly every moment. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero. Terror freaks the heart out of a quiet community. Your central role, Officer Cook, was to preserve the integrity and dignity of the humane and loyal citizens of Dade County. As you were a humble man of character and morals they surely assisted you greatly in this never ending war over wickedness. More than devout you were a man on a mission of difficult tasks and their missions in which your destiny by design was directed by God's loving hands. Now, Officer Cook, for humbly and heroically saving Dade County and its residents from the clutches of evil do you rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero along with twenty-two thousand other brave and honorable comrades who sacrificed their lives for peace and its quality of dignity and integrity to keep churning straight ahead. It took your hope, goodwill and the supremely confident character to conclude your tasks in a timely and resolute fashion. The walls of honor where your blessed legacy and noble name are etched are the symbols of valor and the due vigilance and diligence you practiced and preached. They never left your sight, wisdom and vision you had for a brighter tomorrow. You continue to be greatly missed, Officer Cook. Colleagues though keep your spirit in their hearts and thoughts those retired and those whose destiny keeps freedom and unity glued together with gallantry and its humility that stands for a prosperous humanity.

We live by conviction. But, it's only viable if bravery and honor trail behind one's humble and loyal endeavors. Your uniform and badge carried a special significance, Officer Cook and that was as a heroic and humble man of integrity and dignity who served proudly while protecting Dade County and the very lives of its folks. Your contributions and commitments of fairness, firmness and faithfulness to our justice system shall never be questioned nor ever doubted. Dade County where you protected us, Officer Cook, was your venue of vigilance, no small assignment and yet you did a really excellent job of securing and making freedom matter again. those comrades who served beside a man of conviction, commitment and character realized morals and scruples would mean the difference between a good outcome where resolve would stay resurrected and where evil might creep in. Always humble. Always sincere and humane. Why did violence have to take your life and a career filled with more promise and resolve, Officer Cook? As one who met some of your family members and received thaat nice letter from your mother, Mrs. Julia Cook, I wonder this everyday and I 'll never forget you. Your professional prowess on behalf of Dade County and its residents was for the successful implementation of peace, unity and a man of honor, integrity and dignity who just cared. Police work is never easy and really it is never over until it's over. You kept up the ferocity, perseverance and the faithful devotion one who leads others must maintain. Colleagues share these same sentiments today and everyday since your heroic life ended on May 16, 1979. Stay well Mrs. Cook. Your beloved son, your "Billy" won't be overlooked. Only so honored humbly and saluted for his courage and valor which paved the pathways for other brave souls to pursue. Character and morals never end as your family continues your legacy of love and the labors of effort you put forth in your ourtstanding work. We don't need a reminder of your undaunted and unselfish character, your undying civility through humility that left mankind filled with your fruition through your fruitful diligence. No boosting.
