Reflections for Police Officer William Coleman Cook
Term limits are for presidents and governors. There is never a timetable for one's own brand of boldness, tenacity and the simply humane honesty by which they fight and serve assuring us of peace and liberty for all. Dade County has some of the best men and women of intuition and train of thought that needs employment when battling wickedness. You had the goods of grace and gallantry, Officer Cook, serving mankind with your love and faithful esteem. No matter the problem, you had the right answers to the circumstances and their questions that laid ahead. To ponder and to understand how to come up with a solution takes all the skills and wisdom that conviction has for us all. Bravery and valor reside in those women and men of hopeful optimism which was your strength and character my neighbor, friend and hero. Rest in peace.

The purpose is to scout out and eliminate evil from our very midst. You did your nation and community well in your cheerful pursuits of honesty, integrity and the humbleness of dignity, Officer Cook. Dade County and its residents were well served and protected by your grace and faithful guidance. It always seems to be about who done it. Who went over and beyond the calls of duty? Who rose to the ultimate challenge and went out on patrol and tackled adversity with an acumen of honesty, integrity and a pronounced dignity? You observed and did your family, peers and close friends proud, Officer Cook. Dade County's knight of resolve and wisdom wearing a clean and pristine uniform and badge of sound character and the firm and fair boldness meant to conquer carelessness and callously brazen evil. You always held your accountability and humility, Officer Cook, to the highest level of proficiency and only performed as you were trained to do. You maintained peace and unity unilaterally for all mankind which is deeply indebted to your valor, courage of your heart and the latitude of love and esteem, Officer Cook, that was your trademark. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero. If enhancement meant sacrifice, then you gave your all through only total effort working as a partner to so many faithful and wisely skilled comrades.

We must destroy and demolish evil, as its doom demonstrates its destruction if not handled properly. Your assignments, Officer Cook, were to scour and to secure the borders in and around the corridors of Dade County where its citizens demanded peaceful and quiet moments in their lives. You were a sensible and thoughtful young man bound for more humble greatness if not for a crazed young man bent on wanton violence. You did your roles with loyalty and the devotion that earnestly has entitled you to humane salutes of bravery and honor all while keeping a soft and humane dignity, integrity and the morals of fine character upon your uniform and badge. You'll never be forgotten, Officer Cook, for your unselfish humility, civility and the noble heroism that purposefully carried your life and career of accomplishment. Destinies and their missions may be delayed, all while God is ruling this universe of hopeful understanding and the fruitions of both ferocity and undaunted and unwavering convictions of tenacity. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero.

Deliberation requires the most demanding train of thought delicately delivered by one of values, dignity and the wholesome honesty that lends credence to accomplishment. You thought and pondered your plans and preparations, Officer Cook. You just did not get into your squad car and go out into Dade County recklessly while pursuing peace and searching for the wickedness branded as callous and wanton. Today, humbly and quite humanely you are being given respects and the homage that is afforded to all police heroes and heroines. If Badge#1664 is being worn by another brave soul, let that woman or man step forward and may their passions lead to successful journeys of justice for all. Fruition and faithfulness must begin somewhere. Your home, Officer Cook, was just that haven not for havoc, rather for love and the esteem that dedicated its gentle spirit to all of our world. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero. Character and conviction do cast their nets over bravery, tenacity and ferocity. A handsome young man, proud and bold who took on an establishment such as violence and gave every last ounce of energy and those resources needed to conquer its ugliness.
