Reflections for Police Officer William Coleman Cook
You rejuvenated Dade County and its population, Officer Cook, with your resolve and devotion. The kind of honor and integrity not always found where it rightfully belongs. What will be remembered forever will be your dignity, character and the morals you had and left for other brave and sincere public servants to emulate. The taciturn lives we lead can be directly attributed to your humble and heroically humane feats of ferocity. You came from a noble and cherished family, ones with genes of grace and gallantry in and of themselves. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero. You go ahead, Officer Cook and let your beautiful soul of sanctity cheer us on from the blue skies above.

Heaven heeps its praises on the honest, humble and humane of public servants whose humility allows their dignity and integrity to assist them in the war over adversity. Its marches must be corralled once and for all. You performed your basic duties, Officer Cook, here in Dade County with loyalty, enthusiasm, zest and the zeal to protect life and limb. You'll forever be so honored for distinguished diligence, character and the wisdom to distribute peace and justice equally. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero. Everlasting endearment and enhancement means our missions can go through. So tragic your life had to end by violence and terror all brought about because of a terribly distraught and diabolical man. You accomplished and had much left to fulfill. Designs of men and women resting in Our Creator's perfect shelter. Their bravery endless and boundless, all the boldness to humbly behold.

The weary rest. Those who are motivated and dedicated sleep when the circumstances warrant a little later. Public servants are trained never to give up, but to hang in there and fight with all their might. Your class and character served you very well, Officer Cook and so its folks were thrilled to have your presence among them sealing off evil. The journeys you followed faithfully, Officer Cook, were done with humility and humanely allowed serenity and unity to take their righteous place in our society. Family, colleagues and friends have saluted your heroism and astuteness. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero. God sacred spaces are for angelic heroes and heroines brave and talented to sleep gracefully for giving their souls of safety to allow our travels to go on quietly.

Intuitions are what a person thinks about. Solutions are the answers to the problems that need resolving. Police investigate and put facts together in order to make an arrest. You served and preserved Dade County citizens with your voice of reason and comprehension. You took violence off the streets and delivered the peace and security that was essential to the pursuits of the people. Happiness and prosperity are only good if quiet comes roaring through that door. Character, decency and desire were some of your greatest values, Officer Cook, a gentleman, gallant and heroic until your last breath. Never forgotten and always cherished. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero.

Conventional and inspirational, you had a way of conveying your messages of hope and faith in a motivating and determined fashion, Officer Cook. Boy, the folks of Dade County had the most finest and honorable of public servants keeping their peace and serenity from shattering. They all respected you and your resourcefulness. If only Mr. Pearsall had done the same. A man of character, integrity and the designs of dignity and ingenuity should not have had to surrender his life and career of humility. But, police are expected to act as such and you, Officer Cook, willingly and very ably assumed a leadership role in your division because of unselfish commitment and conviction to morals and nobility. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero.

Differences are just that. Divisions threaten the very soul of a society where honor, morals and values have seemed to escape us. You fared quite well, Officer Cook, in acquitting yourself and the humble boldness you displayed in representing Dade County as a public servant and now an angelic angel, a hero residing in God's giant shelter of serenity. Ethics, morals and values matter most when principles and their missions of hope and goodwill are placed in danger. The perils, the obstacles where you served, Officer Cook, a gallant gentleman who never gave up. Though, I believe your partner that day, Reserve Officer Scott Lincoln should have tried to get up and come to your aid. I know you instructed him not to unholster his weapon, Guess only God knows the answers and has you next to your dad, Charles, may he too rest in peace. I'll continue thinking and praying for you Mrs. Cook. A wonderful neighbor, friend and a very humble and devout woman of faith.
