Honesty is expected at all times from police officers. So when a valiant servant sacrifices their very souls why can't justice for them and their loved ones prevail? It could be fifty years after they are injured in the line of duty, you investigate and indict, a trial ensues and if a jury finds the offenders guilty they go to jail or are put on death row. You served, Officer Cook and your comrade, Detective Donald Blocker shot and killed the man who took away your life of dignity and integrity from your beloved family and peers who served side by side with you in this pursuit of terror. If wisdom, maturity and the fiber of excellent character could reunite you with everyone, I do not have to venture a guess as to what will occur. You are missed terribly and thank God He has your loving humility and heroism there in heaven to observe those carrying on with your assignments. Hopefully their acumen, awareness and astuteness will broker peace and security as it did during your time preserving harmony and tranquility for mankind. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero. Dade County was most fortunate to have an accountable gentleman in their ranks of resolve.
