Reflections for Police Officer William Coleman Cook

Take note for hope and goodwill are on their way. Violence, terror, bedlam, whatever needs help and the faith that our most devout will be able to rid our community and world of this evil. Your resourcefulness, Officer Cook, not only came in handy, it came a precisely the right moment. There you were with your partner that day, a terrible day for your family and comrades, about to get off work and you responded to a domestic call and promptly assisted in saving the citizens of Dade County and your fellow officers. Honor, integrity and dignity, you were blessed by God with the natural abilities of humility and serenity along with character and morals that come to keep endeavors alive and well. Your humble heroism and sacrifice will never be forgotten. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero.

Calendars remind us of important dates and factual events. Tyranny and trouble don't need a map or calendar, our most beloved and bravest need divine intervention to succeed in their missions of goodwill and mercy. Dade County had your candor, charm and warmest of receptions greeting them daily while watching over us. Safety, security and the eyes of Our Lord were steering you around the different venues securing peace. When a man of character and distinction, humble and heroic puts their life on the line we must salute them and be thankful for their time and faithfulness which is eternally cherished. Humanity won't forget your progress nor zeal which is etched solidly by the foundations you laid down for all future men and women. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero. Officer Cook, you were a gentleman of gallantry and the good graces for which God has blessed your soul and continues humbly rewarding your spirit of esteem and sanctity.
