To have one's life curtailed and derailed by undue evil is so disrespectful and just plain heinous. You were in the prime of your life and police career, Officer Cook, so polite, courteous and you performed your due vigilance over the citizens of Dade County. With class and every amount of sweat and toil. To have this happen to a public servant so devoted and so honorable, it wreaks of havoc. Terrible, you were taken so young and with more left accomplish. God saw your peace and unity journeys as complete and took your humble and treasured soul of dignity, honor and integrity back to heaven to patrol His sacred and well guarded pearly gates of gallantry and humility. Where you lived in North Miami Beach, Florida and where you lived with your beloved wife, Karen, were humble and quiet, Officer Cook. Your file were filled awards and just fine police work. Diligence and resourcefulness to continue for a lifetime. Six years you worked out of the Central Division looking to protect and to reclaim the tranquility that Dade County was missing. And through serenity and safe shelters for one another this was your pride and joy. You cherished your career and life, Officer Cook and now forever will you remain a hero in our hearts for possessing the wisdom, integrity and honesty to live smartly and to act humbly. The Lord takes this into account when fortifying His judgments against us. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero. Dade County and its citizens can sleep more soundly because we have had heroes and heroines, honest and intensely loyal public servants such as yourself, Officer Cook, putting in the time and doing the work fighting evil. The world now has sadly become more dangerous, perilous and callous all by the very heinousness that is offered the opportunity to run wild. You tried to put an end to this stampede of injustice and insecurity, Officer Cook, nearly thirty-nine years ago in Dade County on behalf of its folks. Friendly and personable, you just endeavored to calm down and irrational man who was solely bent on harming others and the authority, the police who protect us and deliver peace and harmony to one and all. If not for your integrity, dignity, honesty and clever wisdom, no telling what further dangers were ahead. Your humble character and commitment to vision and experience saw to that. Itsaw to a lot of other major details as well. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero. An A plus in humility, sanctity and the serenely sacred actions of nobleness. Criminals are like the cattle that runs from its pen. I read today of the daughter of a Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office Colonel who conspired with her boyfriend to have a Miami woman killed in Franklin County Florida. What a place! Makes you wonder what is wrong in society today? Your soul is observing and with God's camcorder is filming these ignominious actions of individuals gone crazy, drugs, alcohol, whatever causes irrational behavior.

It talks about your disposition and fine judgment toward every person. Not only those whom you protected and preserved in Dade County, it conveys to all brothers and sisters in the law enforcement field something intrinsically special regarding your upstanding character, desire and dedication to the fibers of ferocity and good morals. Evil cannot by handled if one has no honor, dignity or integrity, it just can't. Its citizens hope and dreams rested upon your gallant arms and feet that went after trouble not away from it.
