Reflections for Police Officer William Coleman Cook
Curiosity is a useless emotion at times. Though, nothing wrong with being curious, it is not sinful. Courage, valor and bravery were never better when badge#1664 patrolled Dade County streets, Officer Cook. Your superior effort and superb values of honesty, integrity and dignity helped to stem the tide of terror. Our peaceful days and nights were because of your humbly unwavering heroic actions taken that terrible day to stop a domestic incident from escalating. These tasks extract every bit of strength from your heart and soul, the character of success during your six years of loyal and fruitful work. We will always honor your memory, humility and the reverence you delivered to humanity. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero.

The tree grows and the leaves bloom, the branches extend out. A natural part of our universe. Violence seems to be a regular part of our world too and yet for even the most honest and brave of women and men they too can be tricked, stumped and puzzled on how to get a proper gage on these items. You had your compasses set proudly and wisely in Dade County, Officer Cook, as you did your normal and daily surveillance over us. Brothers and sisters of the law enforcement all working toward a means, a goal and a conclusion to all this wickedness which threatens to destroy a society whose hopes of peace and tranquil times are hoisted on the broad shoulders of the humble and honest who diligently serve and save lives in unison. You were exactly that, Officer Cook, a treasured soul, a resource of common sense and a wealth of knowledge for others to emulate. It makes me sick to think why anyone looks to take a life and especially those of police officers who willingly and knowingly risk their souls as you did for Dade County. Six years spent patrolling for some reassurance of security and liberty for us who waited. You were cherished and honored, saluted for wisdom, maturity and vision, valor in a humanely humble man. Tragically crime is not a nickel and dime dilemma. It's a very costly situation which makes America strive to find solutions to the headaches caused by such misery. It does not take science to figure out plans, but, rather, departments and communities must reach out to the populations served by honest and hard working individuals all with certain talents and skill sets given to them by God Himself. Your awareness and compassion, Officer Cook, made you better equipped to handle the rigors of a demanding profession., whether in crime scene taking pictures, as a community officer or in the battlefields where one's boldness and mettle are given a stern examination by the enemy we brand as evil. Sadistic or not it lurks and when your commitment and convictions are placed in jeopardy, on emus tact accordingly, scruples and principles all factor in. A hero to be humbly saluted for austere reverence and by having the utmost attention to understanding difficulties that may lie ahead. Humanity thanks you, Officer Cook an don behalf of harmony, sanctity and civility, they too offer kudos. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero.
