Reflections for Police Officer William Coleman Cook
The really excellent servants pay the ultimate price for our civility and liberty to go and pursue freely whatever we choose to accomplish. Your greatness, Officer Cook, was in serving the peace and serenity that citizens of Dade County are entitled to. Resolve and valor, bravery and courage making honor, integrity and dignity more resourceful. At least, Officer Cook, your undying character and undying commitment to values and ideals was there on location looking for evil and trying to create a peaceful environment. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero. You are very much missed and for every thing you family succeeds at thrat's your soul of piety overlooking them. Respect. Admiration. Consistency.

Cool under pressure, your noteworthy exploits, Officer Cook ,continue to be honored as Dade County pays homage to your life and awareness. It's beneficial to have acumen and a full slate of honor, courage, dignity and integrity when facing a monster of a foe. All Mr. Pearsall had to do that sad day was come out and put his hands up and surrender to you and your colleagues. But than again it all boils down to the what ifs. Service prudently displayed and our stability and freedom under your guiding soul. Its character and brilliance now shining over your wonderful family and comrades of notable distinction. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero.

As your loved ones gather to celebrate and share the Thanksgiving holiday they'll stop and offer a prayer for your soul, Officer Cook and look back upon your life, your smile, but most of all, your honesty, integrity and the dignity that made you one of the best in Dade County. Protecting the public takes awareness and the versatility that is drawn by each warrior. With your humbleness and humility, civility and sanctity was quickly brought back to those streets where today unfortunately danger still follows us around. Your soul was supreme and your ultimate sacrifice is why we pause and reflect on your career and life of principles. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero.

Time never decreases respect nor does it diminish a good man or woman's life of honor and humility. The clock keeps moving and so does a man's virtual character replete with morals and the scruples that dignity and integrity bring. When dueling against evil one must stay as calm and collected as possible to deliver the desired results. Those same objectives as you gave to Dade County residents. Safety, peace and the prospects of unity were some of your functions, Officer Cook. Humanity had a warrior of humility, a refreshing source of reverence and the perfect pitch of perseverance. Always cherished, admired and greatly saluted for going above and beyond, Officer Cook. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero.

Unfortunately, police cannot go to crime scenes in full armor otherwise their movements would be greatly restricted. They must maneuver around terrible circumstances as you precisely did that afternoon on May 16, 1979, Officer Cook. Dade County needed your resources and between you and your partner you tried your utmost to stop a domestic incident from growing out of control.
