You had a cache of courage, character and just plain honor, Officer Cook. The man and that's being kind was a wicked person. Mr. Pearsall had a cache of crime and callousness on his mind. Why? This is anybody's best assessment. He faced paid his punishment as Detective Blocker shot and killed him ending a very sad day for Dade County. Although I'm sure your family, Officer Cook, would have preferred he face a jury trial and then have been found guilty and either gone to jail for life or face the electric chair for taking your precious and humble life serving Dade County away from you. It goes beyond that. Your caliber of courage and diggity now of heroic levels shall be saluted and so humanely honored for having served your missions of humanity with the most unselfish and undying hope and goodwill that mankind could ever ask for.
