Today, sadly because of violence that took your life and career, worse it took you from your loved ones, who are remembering a heck of a man. gallant and humble. You are given your daily assignments at roll call and then as God helps you navigate from point to point and from venue to venue, the hopes of your family and department are that you'll succeed, accomplish and return home safe and sound. Serenity is like a bird chirping. Parrots make loud noises the very same way violence looks to wreck its upheaval upon a society hunting for humanely taciturn days and nights. Your mission, Officer Cook, was to focus on Dade County and to generate freedom, goodwill and humility upon our doorsteps. It will always be sad that a sergeant knocked on your mother's door and she answered "it's my Billy." I do hope she is well today and everyday and know Mrs. Cook, that your swaying cross on your porch of your home on NE 170th St. demonstrated your humble faith, loyalty and esteem to Our Maker and Master.
