Reflections for Police Officer William Coleman Cook
What is left of society will depend upon our actions, civil and respectful and those of the many fine leaders, brave and honest who risks their lives to protect and put peace and liberty in their proper perspective. Nothing to be taken for granted. Never easy. Always the chores, tasks, roles and assignments may be filled with trepidation and intrigue. Always the what ifs, Officer Cook, as you were called Bill, your comrades' faithful brother fighting crime and terror along side of them with your solid humility, character, staunch and reverent heart and the heroic integrity that ingenuity and bravery impart. Saluted and so honored for directing others through the mazes of thick and thin. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero.

Pleasures are for those seeking joy and happiness. Too bad your life and career, Officer Cook, had to be derailed and unfortunately stopped forever with more greatness, humility and civility on that humanely heroic horizon. Honor, bravery and the wisdom that carries vision with it was your destiny and all those faithful journeys around the corridors of Dade County serving , saving and sanctifying those roads of peril with a measure of mettle and morals. The character and commitment that excellence and pride brings to a gentleman whose deliberations were for the sake of mankind and society in general. The good Lord has your talents and ferocity bottled up for service of His perfectly paved streets where no more strife, harm and grief will come to you. A great man and warrior struck down by callous, wicked and wanton violence by yes a berserk man. The fields were for you to conquer misery and mayhem, Officer Cook. May you blessed soul watch them protecting with all their heart and might. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero.

Some of the simpler things in life turn out to be the most complex to fathom. Police work is surely never easy nor is it a piece of cake. It takes a multilayer of principles, convictions and commitments to humility, honor, sheer endurance and the advents of integrity and dignity. A life of achievement and accomplishment, Officer Cook, ritually marked by a night of somber observance to remember your dedicated soul of vision and wisdom on behalf of Dade County and all humanity. It's crystal clear that you donned a pristine uniform of character to in essence try and ward off violence and its tragic sides of evil. That one horrific day launched by Mr.Pearsall for who knows his reasons or difficulties spewed enough venom to warrant you, Officer Cook, your partner that dau , Reserve Officer Scott Lincoln and your colleagues into taking decisive action to stop a wayward domestic incident that threatened the peace of a community. Nothing cerebral and your actions that day my neighbor, friend and hero were most profound and certainly most heroic to be forever etched in our minds and in the memories of your family's hearts and souls for eternity. Keep observing from that sacred pedestal in heaven's perfect venues where assurance and acumen are never more clearer and pristinely perfect. Rest in peace. At the tender age of twenty-five your inspirations, your humbleness and your convictions have been transferred to a higher front where the serenity and unity can never be broken nor harmed.
