Reflections for Police Officer William Coleman Cook

Love removes hate. A world pre-occupied with battling adversity does not anymore outside elements interfering with our pursuits of joy. You were destined, Officer Cook, to make Dade County stand humble once more. Serenity and safety served with proud honor and valor all from the hip pockets of heroism and integrity. Never more class, decency and desire than when you conducted your affairs, Officer Cook. A legend and a hero of respect, character and the admiration of a society whose servants' humility should be saluted and so humanely championed.

Ants crawl around building colonies. Police go around looking for evil and trying to replace it with harmony and the loving affections of humanity. Tough assignments, but, with a little honor and dignity, integrity, mettle and excellent character assist in this unending battle over adversity. You were a dedicated young man, Officer Cook, taken before your time and honored through and through by family, colleagues and your close personal friends. Resolve and its humility stand at attention as they welcome new heroes and heroines into God;s special honor roll of valor and diligence. The best of a flock of fearless ferocity. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero.

Futility is not rewarded. Fortitude and fruition are though. In life sometimes a little more ferocity is what is necessary. To fight what ails society you need humble, honest and able bodied men and women of stamina and acumen sorting through these maze of mayhem and mischief. Terror, evil and violence unleashing hell upon a relatively civil society that still encounters wickedness brought on by wanton individuals who lack the integrity and intellect to direct their character and integrity to a far greater destination. Dade County was your place, Officer Cook, home where you grew up and appreciated the finer things in life. Only the best and a most revered and nobly humane gentleman. Gallantry and grace corroborated your entire life and career of public service. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero.

Rest assure, Officer Cook, your career and short life taken needlessly are going to stay etched in stone and in your family's heart forever. No going away. Vim, vigor and vigilance meant too much. Rest in peace my neighbor, friend and hero.
