Patrolman Collins, it's now been 53 years since your tragic death. It's not said if anyone was held responsible, though I prefer to believe someone had to have been. Thank you for your service. May God Bless you and may your eternal rest remain peaceful.

This was my grandfather. I too am Kenneth Barry Collins; I am his name sake.

I never met my grandfather as he was taken from my family 5 years before my arrival.

I've only heard good things about him and have always aspired to be remembered in such a positive light as my grandfather Ken has.

As my Nana told me about the anniversary of his passing, I realized her love for him never died.

May this web page keep his memory alive forever.

Kenny Collins was my uncle and godfather. My grandfather on my mother's side was a sargent on the Police force too, and I heard Kenny use to talk with him when he started the force. It was very sad when he died for the whole family. I will miss him. After many years, I finally got to his grave and recently put flowers on it. It made me think what might have been for him and his family. RIP Uncle Kenny, and to his wife and children, I wish you peace.

This was my dad. He died shortly before I turned 5 years old. I was the youngeset of 5 children. My mom never remarried because this was the only man she ever loved. Thank you to all of you for creating sites like this to honor those who are never forgotten by their families.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 44th anniversary year of your death. I am privileged to leave a tribute to you. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service.

My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.
