Your heroism and service is honored today, the 97th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Your picture still hangs in the lobby of the Pryor Police Department. Even though it has been almost 90 years, the local paper still prints a story about you every now and then to remind everyone of the sacrifice you made for your city. Rest in peace Marshal.

Though you paid the ultimate price so long ago today on October 8th, 2005 this civilian takes a moment to reflect on your service. I know that you are part of God's heavenly protectors.
