Reflections for Officer Gerald Eugene Cline
I was one Gerry's probationary rookie trainees back in 1979. He made a profound and important affect in my Law Enforcement carrer. It was to do your job as trained in a detailed matter. That was what you were being paid for and you should do that to best you can do. He loved his wife, girls and God above all and we spoke of these among other things. I had yet to have a family at that time. I spoke with Gerry that day before his final shift, we spoke of my new child, family and work and how we expected to speak again soon. Peace be with you Gerry. Bill.

Jerry was my cousin and his life and passing has always inspired me to follow in law enforcement. Hope to someday be in the local sheriffs dept.

Jerry was one of my training officers so many years ago (1973)at the Albuquerque Police Department. He was a true friend and mentor to me. Thanks Jerry, you are gone but not forgotten. Your life has been shared with many of my own rookie officers over the years.

Jerry Cline was my first training officer out of the Academy. He taught me to never take anyone's dignaty from them but to always be alert for the worst a human can be.
