Reflections for Police Officer Leslie O. Clem
As the Glendale Traffic Commander the safety of the Motors was ever present on my mind. I can’t fathom the hazards faced in Officer Clem’s era.
Ofc Clem’s name is on the Glendale Police Memorial. Rest in Peace.

I grew up in Glendale & attended elementary school just down the street at verdugo woodlands elementary. I have crossed Canada bl countless times on foot & bicycles & new of the dangers as a young child. I was never aware that way back in the early 20’s that a motorcycle officer had tragically lost his life in that area. I just want to leave a note that officer Clem was taken at a young age of only 25 years old way back then trying to make the streets safer. I hope his family knows that he will never be forgotten. RIP my motor brother.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 83rd anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.
Rest In Peace.
