I was going through an old daily journal of my Grandfather William E. Cadarr who was an NYPD officer at the time of Patrolman Clarius' death. He had an entry for March 5, 1934 "Patrolman Clarius shot at 3rd and Dean Street." This caused me to look up this officer and I am glad I found this site. Even though my Grandfather is gone, this memory and his tribute live on. This must have been so hard for all the officers and their families. Thank you Officer Clarius. You are not forgotten.

Its unbelievable to me that your distant relative was my husband, Dep. James "Jimmy" Lee Clarius, EOW 10-5-1996. Yall were both killed in the line of duty by armed robbery suspects. Both on your departments for 9 years. You were killed in 1934, he was 34 yrs. old we he was killed. When i was in D.C. for Jimmy's honor, i saw your name, too.

Thanks for your service. i hope you and Jimmy are playing some baseball on that Heavenly baseball diamond.

Patrolman Clarius, you are a true hero to the people, community and nation that you served. Your service and sacrifice will never be forgotten. Rest in Peace my Brother..... We will carry on.

In 1934 A New York City Patrolman saved my Mothers life when she was an infant. I would not be here today if it wasn't for his quick actions and bravery.
