Reflections for Policeman Robert R. Christensen

Robert Christensen was my Dad. I was 10 and my sister 11 when he was killed. We were so blessed to have him in our lives even for such a very short time. It is hard to believe it has been 63 years since his death. He was a very special person, is deeply missed and will be forever loved.

My thanks and prayers go out to all the officers of the LAPD. May God bless you and keep you safe always.

This is my grandfather. Today is the anniversary of his tragic death.
May God Rest his soul, and may He bless, protect and encourage our officers on the front line.
He would be 101 years old. His widow, my grandmother is currently 99 years old and will turn 100 in January.
Thank you to all the men and women who serve, protect and sacrifice so much.

Maternal Granddaughter

Policeman Christensen - Union Station is such a beautiful location, it is had to fathom you being killed in such a setting. Sounds like you were "monster hunting." For that you have my praise and respect. Thanks for your service to the people of Los Angeles. May God grant you eternal rest and may His perpetual light shine upon you.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 52nd anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Your sacrifice was made so many years ago. Rest In Peace
