Reflections for Trooper James Herbert Fulford, Jr.
I think of Jimmy every year at this time, and throughout the year as well. James Herbert III reminds me so much of his dad.

Over the past 13 years I have been reminded in some way every day of the extraordinary person that my "Father" was; whether it has come from an old story or a memory of my own, they all relate to the same thing. I hear new stories all the time and it is such an honor(one that I could never expalin with words) knowing that this man was my father. Even though he is not physically here to lead me away from wrong, I can promise with all my heart that when I do stray from right , something deep inside lets me know; and I know that its "Him":):) There are no words to express my appreciation to those who have prayed for our family over the years. If every officer today served his community the way he did we would live in a better world.

I heard stories of Trooper Fulford helping stranded motorists on the Interstate. The help that he gave them went WAY beyond what one would expect. He was a God-fearing man and it was obvious from the way he lived his life. If he didn't go to heaven, none of us will. He made a difference in the lives of many while he was here. Thankyou Trooper Fulford.

Trooper Fulford was a fine man, citizen and trooper... died doing what he did best, protecting citizens of Jefferson County and the State of Florida... Since that tragic day that God has called you that your job was well done. Rest in peace Trooper. You're still greatly missed by the folks of Jefferson County and the Florida Highway Patrol

Trooper Fulford, my dad knew both you and your brother. He says that you were an extraordinary man. I hope to one day become as great a law enforcement officer as you were. God Bless You!

Jimmy Fulford was a remarkable person. He was a wonderful husband, daddy, church deacon, trooper, and a beacon of light to the community. Jimmy loved God and sought each day to live his life to the fullest in the way in which he believed God would have him to live. Jimmy would pray before each shift and ask God to be with him. It has been almost 12 years since Jimmy died, but we still miss him greatly. Apparently, God needed one more angel on February 1, 1992.

Trooper Fulford was my PR-24 instructor at the FHP Academy. What a genuine and remarkable man. Trooper Fulford set the example of how to be an State Trooper. Jimmy we all miss you and try to carry ourselves as you did. With love and respect, thanks for the great training and the insight you gave us all during our training. God Bless you.
