Your heroism and service is honored today, the 55th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.
I hope one day to meet one of your family members at a meeting of our NorCal COPS chapter.

Officer Chansler, your heroism and courage on this day is unequalled and truly extraordinary.
You personify the term "courage under fire", you displayed uncommon valor and you will not be forgotten.
Rest in peace HERO.
