We are approaching the 90th aniversary of my Great Grandfathers death. I work just blocks from where our families loss occured during the now famous attemped jail break in the old Dallas Jail just across from the Court House. I walk past the momument and reflect often. He is remembered daily as are all the men and women who have served. Thank you to all of you.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 89th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be remembered and revered.
Rest In Peace
