Your heroism and service is honored today, the 86th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Ironically, my Grandfather, also named James Carroll, was a
mounted patrolman of the CPD at about the same time this tragedy
occurred. I, nor the CPD, can provide any further info on my
Grandfather. I wish I knew more. He was married to Bridget
and was the father of 6 children, 4 boys and 2 girls. Any help out there?
James Carroll, Major, retd.
