IT MOTIVATED ME EVEN MORE TO BECOME ONE OF THE FINEST. DONLD, PLEASE REST IN PEACE YOUR WATCH IS OVER. I WILL NEVER FORGET THAT NIGHT AND YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN AS LONG AS I HAVE A BREATH IN ME.

To the family and friends of Sergeant Donald Carroll and his fellow officers, and most especially to Sgt. Carroll himself:
On this the nineteenth anniversary week of your brutal murder, please know that you are remembered and honored. Your courage and dedication will never be forgotten. You were truly a hero, putting your own body in front of others, to shield them from harm's way after your weapon had been taken from you.
Rest in peace, Sgt, Carroll.
May your family continue to be supported by their law enforcment family, and other police survivors.
It is so horrific that your family lost two brave souls in line of duty deaths.
I hope that you are safeguarding us from above with the help of your father.
This reflection is sent with the utmost respect for the distinquished years of service Sgt. Carroll gave to his community and the citizens of New Jersey, and the supreme sacrifice he and his family made on November 6, 1986.

To Sergeant Carroll: Looking through the statistics of Officer's killed on Nov. 6, I found that you were killed the same year as my husband,Officer Emilio Miyars, and like him you were killed with your own gun...I know that you, Emilio, your father and all the other brothers and sisters that have been killed in line of duty are still working patroling the "Streets of Heave"
God Bless you always,
