Time may have passed but you are not forgotten. I believe as long as someone remembers you or speaks your name, you are still with us.
Thank you for your heroism.
God Bless

A very tough job enforcing a very unpopular law and yet men like you had the guts to try. No doubt your partner has now passed on as well but I thank him for ending any further threat that suspect posed. How tragic it was after your life was taken.
On this 88th anniversary of your murder, I pray you are resting in peace. God Bless, Brother.

I wish I had known my grandfather. By all accounts, he was one terrific person. I think he would be prooud of his legacy and would have enjoyed his grandchildren.

He was only 47 years old, leaving a wife and 5 kids. I know because he was my grandfather. Sadly, my sisters and I would never know him. My mother barely knew him.According to one newspaper account, his funeral was attended by hundreds; far more than the church could hold. This is a testament of the highest order.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 84th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.
Rest In Peace.

For my great Grandfather, James Capen who served the ATF and who's life was taken in the line of duty. by reports it was said to be a boot legger who shot Special agent Capen. Granpa, we know the truth, we know who really took your life, know your pain has not went unnoticed and you will forever live in our hearts. we only wished you had more time on this earth to share you kindness. while doing research in Rock Springs many remembered him well and had nothing ill to say about James Capen.
