Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Sergeant Louis Cannaliato

"Honored" (with Humility), by hearing of the Sacrifice You readily gave for "The Calling". It is ONE of which (to their detriment), too few will ever understand. I Thank You for your Service, "SIR" !!!

You're getting your Purple Heart on April 8th!! How exciting for us. I was so young when my Paw Paw died but I still remember the loads of candy he would bring home to us! I am sure you would have been a great asset to my life had your life not been taken so soon.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 47 anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

I pray for solace for all those that love and remember you for I know both the pain and pride are forever. Your family is in my heart's embrace. I thank your family for sharing their memories and devotion to you through their reflections.

Rest In Peace.

Sir, you were murdered the day I was born. You were an ordinary, everyday hero, who lived his life better than most men could hope to, and died doing a job most men wouldn't even attempt. I pray that I can do my job well enough for you to to be proud of a man you never met, a man who was a squalling infant on the day you moved to Heaven. Thank you, for giving all peace officers something to live up to, your example.
