Reflections for Police Officer John W. Kamphouse
Police Officer Kamphouse, It's been 112 years since you were murdered. It's eerie how your family made such sacrifices in the same location. Why this happened is well beyond our ability to comprehend, but it's noteworthy.
Brother, thank you for helping to protect one of America's greatest assets. it's railroads and may you forever Rest in Peace.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 97th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Police Officer Camphouse, today marks the 96th anniversary of your murder. Though the fate of your killer is not listed here, we can all simply hope that he or she faced true justice for their crime, if not in this life, then in the next.
Being a Railroad cop isn’t a job someone could take lightly, especially back in the days when you worked. Long lonely hours in rail yards not knowing what might be around the next car or warehouse, yet you and others like you have done it selflessly for centuries. America’s rails are one of the things that have made this country great and it’s the Railroad Police Officer that helped make them successful. You have not been forgotten.
God Bless and may you continue to Rest in Peace, Brother.
