So sad to hear of the devastating injury Officer Reilly sustained so many years ago and then succumbing to that attack. Perp should be resentenced on homicide charges. Don’t see this as double jeopardy. RIP Officer & condolences to your family.

Lord our God, you are always faithful and quick to show mercy. Our Sister-in-Blue, Police Officer Felicia Dee Reilly, of the Saint Paul MN Police Department, was violently assaulted on March 24, 2010 in the Line-of-Duty. As a result, she sustained a traumatic brain injury. She "Returned Home to You", O Lord, on March 1, 2025; she died of her duty-related injuries. Come swiftly to her aid, have mercy on her, and comfort her family, friends, and comrades by the power and protection of the cross. I ask this through Christ Jesus, our Lord, and by His Holy Name and Authority, I pray. Amen.

So sorry to learn of the trauma you suffered over the years after being savagely attacked answering a domestic situation. It should be the policy of every department that at least 2 officers are present before any contact is made on domestic violence calls. RIP Officer Reilly. May God bless and comfort your loved ones and may they be comforted in knowing that others feel their loss.
