Words can't explain the heartbreak I feel over this tragedy. Deputy Corlew put himself between us and danger, and I am eternally grateful. Lord, in the days to come please bring calmness of heart and easement of mind to his Wife, Children, Family, Fellow Officers and Friends. May we not forget how thin this Blue Line is. God Bless All!

Very sad day. I thought Officer Corlew was so nice even though I was getting a traffic ticket from him. He took the time to explain that my oversized dog should be restrained and not in the front seat. He mentioned what an airbag would do to my dog if I stopped suddenly.
When I read the terrible news this morning I ran to get my citation and confirmed it was him. I cannot believe this happened. My heart goes out to his family and to his colleagues. Life is so fragile. May he rest in peace.

My deepest condolences to Deputy Corlew and not only his entire family but the brothers and sisters of the Riverside Sheriff's Department. I rode for CHP for 26 years and was only fortunate to end a riding career in one piece. From one motor rider to another I am truly heartbroken to hear of this tragic passing. Ride easy my friend you are now with the other two wheeled angels above looking out for us down here.

Heavenly Father, You are always faithful and quick to show mercy. Our Brother-in-Blue, Deputy Sheriff Timothy Corlew, of the Riverside County CA Sheriff's Department, was suddenly and violently taken from us; Involved in a Motor Vehicle Collision in the Line-of-Duty. Come swiftly to his aid, have mercy on him, and comfort his family, friends, and colleagues by the power and protection of the cross. I ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord, and by His authority. Amen.

God's Mission for America's Peace Officers:

"For the policeman does not frighten people who are doing right; but those doing evil will always fear him. So if you don't want to be afraid, keep the laws and you will get along well. The policeman is sent by God to help you. But if you are doing something wrong, of course you should be afraid, for he will have you punished. He is sent by God for that very purpose." (Romans 13: 3-4 TLB)

God's Word of Support, Comfort, and Hope:

"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God."
(Matthew 5:9 CSB);

"Then I heard the voice of the Lord asking: Who will I send? Who will go for us? I said: Here I am. Send me. (Isaiah 6:8 CSB);

"No one has greater love than this: to lay down his life for his friends."
(John 15:13 CSB), and;

"Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted." (Matthew 5:4 CSB).
