My deepest appreciation to Officer Michael Horan for his selfless service to his country, his community and our profession. My deepest condolences to Officer Horan's family, and my thanks for their sharing him with his country, his community and our profession. Lastly, my deepest sense of pride in the thousands of fellow North Carolina Officers that fanned out through-out the state this afternoon in search of your assailant, culminating in his apprehension within hours, seven counties away, maintaining fidelity to the decree that "NO ONE WOUNDS US WITH IMPUNITY!"
